Disney Magical World 2 is now out :)

Disney Magical World 2 is coming!

This is cross-posted from my main website–you can read it over there as well!

In general, you guys may know I’m a big fan of the Style Savvy series and well, a Disney fan in general (I mean, just look at my past few entries) so imagine my excitement when I heard we are finally getting Style Savvy 3 (now known as Style Savvy: Fashion Forward) and also received an announcement for Disney Magical World 2.

To quote the press release

Kids can soon check out the new game in the Kirby series, Kirby: Planet Robobot, which launches June 10, as well as two new kid-friendly games coming later this year: Style Savvy: Fashion Forward and Disney Magical World 2.

Style Savvy: Fashion Forward, the third game in the Style Savvy series, gives players a sense of accomplishment by putting them in charge of one of five exciting professions. Players can immerse themselves in a world of fashion by owning a boutique, designing clothes, styling hair, applying makeup or becoming a model. When players make themselves look good, customers who visit their boutiques might start adopting the player’s style. The game includes over 19,000 different articles of clothing, items and accessories to choose from. Players can also learn real-world fashion tips from the Fashion 101 guide. To access Nintendo character-themed clothing and accessories in the game, players can tap select amiibo figures to a Nintendo 2DS, Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 3DS XL system using the Nintendo 3DS NFC Reader/Writer accessory to trigger an event. Once the event is completed, players can get the special items. The amiibo and Reader/Writer accessory are sold separately. The New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL systems feature a built-in NFC reader for amiibo. Style Savvy: Fashion Forward launches Aug. 19.

Disney Magical World 2, the follow up to the popular franchise, lets players enjoy a variety of new adventures in six Disney-themed worlds, such as exploring the world of Disney Frozen, dancing with Disney princesses or soaring through special Magical Dream events. Players will encounter and interact with well-known characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Ariel, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck. The game launches Oct. 14.

Yep, Style Savvy 3 comes out August 19th. I am so happy I’ll have something to play this Summer. Meanwhile, Disney Magical World 2 is in October 14th and I’m glad I’ll have a head start with SS3 before DMW2 comes out. Similarly, both will be out for a nice amount before the upcoming Pokemon πŸ˜› But I feel pretty busy now…

I’m really hoping to do daily updates for both. While Style Savvy 3 may be a bit less eventful than Animal Crossing, I’m hoping it will still be nice! As for Disney Magical World, you can get an idea of what to expect with my Disney Magical World focused blog. I will be putting all updates for the second game over here on my main site though.

I’ve already gotten a page all set up for Style Savvy: Fashion Forward (as you may have noticed from the sidebar) and hope to get one set up for Disney Magical World 2 once we have the boxart.

I really hope we’ll get all the items that have released in each. Please don’t keep items exclusive to Japan again, Nintendo ;~; <3 Similarly, please don't region lock the games either, Nintendo X__x While I'm still a bit baffled about why Style Savvy 3 is coming about a year and a half after Japan's and nearly a year since Europe's release, I'm just so happy and relieved we are getting it. I can't wait to play.

On Disney Magical World 2

So, after a bit of debate, I’ve decided the best way to do it is to actually post the actual content on my official site. Anything related to the first game will still be put here, but due to the fact that many items will be re-gotten in the second game, it’ll be much easier to keep track on the main website than to try and re-work this site to fit for both games.

At the moment, I have not set up the page for DMW2 due to the fact that we do not have a release date in the US yet, but once it does, there will be a link on the sidebar of my main website (although, most of it will be a placeholder until I actually have the game).

That said, all posts will still be crossposted to the Tumblr blog.

No more DLC & Scarce Updates

You may have noticed I didn’t update on April 1st. I wanted to try and give it a bit just incase it could be late, but there has still been no new DLC for the game and as Japan is no longer doing DLC, something tells me we are not receiving any DLC anymore. We have received everything Japan gets so it’s pretty much a matter of nothing else being developed for the game which is disappointing. There are so many items and themes that do not belong to a set and so many areas of the game that could easily be expanded. This is truly a game that could’ve been wonderful and has so many options for more DLC–it’s a shame they won’t ever be taken.

That said, with no new content the blog will come to an end at some point and updates will be scarce. Other than having to make certain items, I’ve pretty much completed the game. I have all the recipes, my cafe has been finished for ages, I have all the medals, I’ve gotten every photo, my card album is complete, etc. The only reason to keep going is for completion sake at this point.

Regardless, the game is still a good game. I just wish they continued with it.

Third Day <3

Upon loading up, we had a new visitor in the center of Castleton–Stitch! He asked me for a favor to fix something he broke as Lilo was mad at him.

Thankfully, I had everything on hand! Stitch loves me now too! <3 I had gone splurging a bit due to how many coins I've made. However, my new found money earning quickly fell short when I checked one item that had caught my eye.
And I thought the 25,000 Coins counter yesterday was bad… Regardless, I ended up grabbing it–I wonder if it’s a rare recipe and/or has rare ingredients?

I also bought another Scrump Doll (Sadly, you have to choose if you want something in your room or in the Cafe… This is especially saddening as I would’ve liked to have all the UniBEARsity dolls in both, but as far as I know you can’t get more than one of each…), a Hibiscus Seed, and various materials… I wish I could use the Sturdy Thread for the next part of the Princess dress, but I decided I’ll use it for the fishing rod. I’m looking forward to seeing what new fish I will catch!

Before I do that though, I decided to see what other requests people had:
-Pete wanted 3 cans of red paint… I’m guessing I should head to Wonderland for that.
-One visitor wanted 2 Jars of Golden Honey–it took a bit, but I managed to get this one done!
-Another visitor wanted a Fluffy Dandelion–thankfully, I had plenty of those and was able to give it to them right away. She gave me a whole bunch of Milkberry Seeds.
-And yet another visitor wanted 2 Mini Apples. I had plenty of those and she gave me Tropical Herb Seeds as thanks. Yay πŸ˜€

I then went to the Cafe to set some new dishes…

I also had a present on my bed with a Mushroom in it <3 After that, it was continuing various episodes πŸ˜€ I find Episodes in the Winnie the Pooh area to be the simplest--I also enjoy them more since I don't care too much for the dungeon-related ones. Such as getting Eeyore his favorite food πŸ˜€ After getting him some Blue Thistle, he wanted to take a picture with me!
<3 I also continued to try and get the wood I needed to make some Winnie the Pooh themed tables so I can hold a party... but it seems these trees do not want to give me the wood I need πŸ™ After finally getting it, it was time to hold a party!

I managed to get my party meter back up quickly after, but decided to save it as I work for bigger theme combos which will hopefully entire more than one character… I think that’s one of the hardest things right now too–trying to decide what to buy/make first @-@ Or if you’d rather save for stuff you’d want personally. See, this is why I make lists–I’m having so much trouble deciding what to do first πŸ˜› What really doesn’t help though is when I get asked for stuff I don’t have unlocked yet–completely throws me off.

I did make some of Lilo’s outfit though as I found it cute–Hibiscus’ are kind of hard to get :/ I did manage to hit 45 Stickers though which unlocked more furniture at Chip & Dale’s. I also ended up having to make another one of those Winnie the Pooh-themed tables for Owl…

He did take a picture with me as Thanks though <3 I then decided to hold a quick party for the heck of it since the meter filled up quickly anyway...
Aladdin showed up πŸ˜€

It was then off to Wonderland as I didn’t have too long until Pete’s task ran out of time and I wanted to at least try to see if I could get what he was looking for. Unfortunately, none of the episodes I currently had unlocked dropped it which meant I had to get to unlocking @-@

I had just enough of the items to make the full outfit at least…

I managed to get lucky and get a few right away from the gift box ghost so then it was just a matter of finishing in time! Despite cutting it close, I managed to complete the request so yay. The White Cocoaberry seeds I received as Thanks will help me with unlocking more recipes <3 I also managed to get a recipe for an adorable quest outfit T~T <3 It makes me wish quest outfits could be worn outside their specific worlds and still be effective... I don't have everything to make it just yet so really tempted to go back to try. I also need to try and get some Dove Feathers from Cinderella's World. The quest I had to do in Wonderland was a lot harder than I'd have liked πŸ™ And I hate the ghosts in this area. Regardless, I did manage to finish it and well...
so cute T~T <3 Not sure which I like more...
…but I feel so adorable <3 And as it had hit 5PM while I was in that quest... new tasks!: -Mickey wanted me to get him this... Car Statue thing. Unfortunately, I haven't unlocked it yet πŸ™ It'd get me a photo ticket too... -For Dewey, he gave me a riddle: "In a strange wood it grows, Umbrella'd its pose, No bulb, yet it glows!" I luckily already had what he wanted--a Twinkle Mushroom. He gave me 2 Snow Crystals. -Donald wanted 3 Amethyst Gems for a better rod recipe... -A Visitor wants 5 Wiggly Willow Branches, but is offering 3 Mini-Apple Seeds and I practically get Mini-Apples constantly so not sure if I will finish this one. -Another Visitor wanted 3 Wobbly Spoons in return for Polished Silverware. I already had what he wanted and I need the Polished Silverware for something I want to make so I accepted. Also, cute Pink Butterfly:

And I managed to collect enough cards for another greeting!:

“Applaud”

I then noticed when I spoke to Chip & Dale, I actually had gotten the recipe from Mickey when I accepted his request… I had 2/3 parts–with the last one being from Wonderland as well. It would also be 33K to make which is nearly all my money at the moment. I really rather not go back to Wonderland right now though–but maybe if I feel up to it later before it ends…

I held another party–I ended up getting the Summer set combos up to 7/8 so I was hoping I could get the others and well…

I was right! Now I’ve gotten a picture with all the Summer-dressed characters πŸ˜€ I’ve noticed you seem to always get a card you don’t have during parties too.. or at least it’s a much higher chance to get something new.

I then went and made various things to get my 50th sticker! I was really excited to unlock more things.
New furniture I want to make: Magic Rose Stained Glass, Welcoming Balloons, Heart Dresser, Daisy Round Table, Stitch Statue
New clothing I want to make: Cute Minnie Headband, Tiara Mini Headband,
Of course, there’s already several things I’ve wanted to be able to make and still lack the stuff for so not sure how long these will take me…

With that, I decided to stop for the night as after the long day, I sadly don’t have the energy to play as long
A Lovely night view <3 Note: I received a copy of this game from Nintendo! Thank you, Nintendo! <3 Note 2: Stickers and Cards are more or less up on the site to keep track. Everything else will take a while due to how the game has them set-up @-@ Hopefully it won’t take too long to finish.

What am I worried about not seeing?

One question I received recently after mentioning what I was looking forward to is what I’d be worried if it was removed or not done. I’m hoping my worries will be for naught, but here’s a list along with reasons why I think they could get removed:

1. The AR Cards – This kind of hits two things–both the cards from the Japanese version working and also if there will ever be new ones. Many things, such as QR Codes, are region locked to Japan–not everything of course (Animal Crossing and Pushmo are good examples of games with QR Codes that are not region locked), but it makes me wonder if the same would be AR Cards–currently, the AR Cards we don’t have are limited to games that aren’t out here, such as this adorable “game”. While I don’t use the AR function as much as I’d like (terrible lighting where I live makes it hard), it’s something I enjoy playing with when I can… and part of it is also that the only big AR thing we have are the original games we had received upon the 3DS’ release.

Honestly, if we received those pre-paid cards with the cute AR Cards, I’d easily be buying up a bunch of eShop points for them because I think they are adorable and I’d want to collect them all. I think the AR Cards for items could go well–heck, Disney has had grab bags and booster packs before that I think could work well with them too (and sure, I’d hate the randomness, but at least they’d be brought over). Though, as long as the Japanese cards work, I wouldn’t be too upset–I would think it’d be a missed shot for more AR Card chances though.

2. DLC! – Besides the DLC packs for new worlds, I’m also worried the various DLC that has come out in Japan may not make it over. I’ve loved all the DLC and would immediately buy them, but even then there are some I’m worried about more than others between things like the Hinaningyou becoming a Japanese region only item in Animal Crossing after the gamecube version, the Quiz DLC case being cut from Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies, and the Kimono Shop for men in Style Savvy: Trendsetters being taken out, it always worries me sometimes when I see packs that focus a lot on things that are Asian Cultured. I really hope they leave it in (and bring over all the DLC honestly)–it’s a beautiful pack. Not to mention Tokyo Disney is amazing and Epcot has a lovely area in the World Showcase for Japan as well.

3. Campaign items. What most people don’t realize is Disney Magic Castle is based off an online game which is part of why I had been worried it wouldn’t have been brought over (not enough words for how happy I am that they did). Regardless, we don’t have that game which means we can’t do what’s needed to get the outfits. I’m hoping there will be another way to get them (Similar to what Professor Layton and the Specter’s Flute did with London Life as the code feature was removed) and they won’t just be gotten rid of.

In a similar note, since we do not have the UniBEARsity brand over here, I’m also curious how that’ll go. I hope they do stick around over being removed, but I don’t know how they’d bring them over if the AR Cards are region locked.

4. 7-11 Items – If only our 7-11’s were as awesome as the ones in Japan… Getting to the point, 7-11 has a lot of exclusive items. This isn’t really new (I mean, there’s a whole 10 item set in Animal Crossing) and has happened more and more in new games which makes me wonder if we will see the 7-11 items. Most of the items are not actually 7-11 themed (I recall a large amount of Pinocchio themed stuff being some of the items you could get from there) so I’m hoping that means they will have a chance to show up as DLC. The only item I heard that was really 7-11 themed was a Minnie-themed dress that was green and orange–whether it had 7’s all over it or not, I don’t know, but I kind of hope there’s a chance we’ll see it brought over too. Even if it’s modified a bit.

And to end it, something I know I won’t see, but hope changes in the future: There’s no online gifting. You can only gift over local wifi. While I will definitely be playing the game with my family, most of my friends who are big Disney fans do not live that close which makes it a bit disappointing that I can’t do more besides visit their cafe and rate them. Regardless, I’m looking forward to seeing their cafes and getting them some items through nice ratings.

With that said, the fact that the game is coming over really just makes me more excited than everything despite worries of things that may not be–the game still looks amazing and I can’t wait to play it when it comes out next month <3

Only a month to go!

So, with just a month to go (or well, a little under now), I have finally managed to get this up. Originally, I was just going to do something small, but the more I heard the game had, the better I felt it may be to keep up. Don’t expect super long entries like my Animal Crossing blog though–I think this one will be more checklists and notes.

Moving on, if you’ve seen My Tumblr for the game, you’ll know I’m pretty excited. The game seems to be a cross between Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon (two of my favorite games) with a few things that remind me of Fantasy Life (which I’m still hoping will come over). I actually did not expect this game to come over (though, that didn’t stop me from sending emails out to let them know overseas fans wanted it…) so it was a really pleasant surprise to see it announced (I am also looking forward to Tomodachi Collection!). As for what I’m looking forward to the most? I don’t know! I’m really looking forward to a lot of it–if I had to pinpoint it down, I’d probably just say exploring in general.

I love Disney. I’ve gone to Disney World every year since I was born with my family so it’s practically a tradition. I’ve been to almost all of the different Disney parks (Still need to visit Hong Kong Disney) and so a Disney game where I can explore and see all my favorite characters gets me pretty excited. If you like Disney, I really hope you’ll be picking the game up and if you may not be too big on Disney, but still enjoy things like Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing, I’d highly recommend picking it up too.

In the meantime, I’m hoping the QR Codes in Japan will work for the US game–though, I’m not going to get my hopes too high. At the very least, if they do, I hope there is a chance we could see the UniBEARsity line over here at some point–I know I was super excited when they brought Duffy over to the US parks so I’d love to see UniBEARsity come to our Disney stores. Speaking of Duffy though, considering his popularity (and Shellie May’s), I’m very surprised he isn’t in the game! I really hope he’ll be added as DLC at some point… In fact, I hope the game does well enough that DLC keeps coming. I’d love to see the Disney World keep growing with characters from new movies. I think it’d also be a good way to keep the game interesting.

Anyway, on an ending note with some more blog-focused stuff: While this blog is “done”, the content still has a lot of work to go. There is a good chance many things will be removed and/or changed. The layout is completely set though. And as a fun tribute (and I guess Easter Egg for the site) that those who played Pixie Hollow with me may realize… The Fairy over in the top right in a Tinkerbell pose is actually my Fairy from Pixie Hollow named Dewdrop Moonflower:

Sadly, the last picture I managed to get of her wasn’t a very good one πŸ™ Regardless, the full-version from the logo:
